I adore this image and am so happy that I finally got to play with her.  What a cutie patootie!  Bad thing is that now I want to order ALL of the Lulu Collection!  Oh well, I better get that credit card out...LOL!

New Try Folds at Art Impressions!

Hey, all!  Today Art Impressions is launching brand new Try Fold Stamp Images!  Have you ever played with this type of stamp?  They are so much fun, particularly if you like to color.

They are designed to be used with a 5 1/4 x 11 inch sheet of card stock scored into thirds.  Images are then stamped onto the card stock, colored, then folded to create a scene.  I opted to do mine a little different.  Copic ink has a tendency to saturate the Neenah Classic Crest paper I use, creating quite a bit of bleed through on the back.  Instead, I opted to cut the panels out of the Neenah and mount them to a heavier linen laid card base.  It worked out pretty well and gave me a substantial card.

Visit the Art Impressions blog and find out more about these wonderful images, then hit the Ai shop and check them out for yourself!

Until next time, stay crafty!

Hey, all!  Back today with my Bellarific Friday card for Stamping Bella!  This week we featured a sketch and it wasn't until I enlarged it just now that I realized it contains 2 panels cut on the diagonal.  OOOF!  I messed that up.  Let's pretend I didn't, don't tell, okay ;)  It is, after all, an interpretation...heehee!

I used Uptown Girl Paisley has a Prezzie, isn't she pretty.  Love that she's hiding a sweet little gift behind her back :)  Maybe it's for me.  Find this lovely image in the Stamping Bella Shop and feel free to look around.  LOTS of fabulous stuff there!

Sweet and Simple using Art Impressions Stamps!

Hey, all!  I've been on a bread baking kick so tonight rather than working on my card that was due for the Art Impressions Blog (because I NEVER work ahead), I ended up baking 2 loaves of sourdough bread, making dough for bread tomorrow night, making 2 batches of starter for bread 2 days from now, and last but not least refreshing my mother starter.  Whew!  That was a lot of baking and prep, but the even bigger task was washing all the bowls that were harmed in these activities.

About midnight, me and my pruney fingers found our way to my studio and made this card.  It needed to be quick and easy, because after all, it's midnight.  This came together pretty quick, but frankly it could have been quicker for me, LOL!

Find this Boy and Girl Mini Set in the Ai Shop along with lots of cool stuff.  Also, visit the blog daily for inspiration from the DT.

Ok, I'm nodding off at my desk, so I best be scooting'.  Join me tomorrow for something different ;)

Until then, stay crafty!

Bellarific Friday: Stitches

Copic colors used:  skin- E00, E000, R20, E11 hair- E18, E09, E07, E02  dress- V99, V95, V93, V91 crown- Y26, Y21, Y11 ground- C7, C5, C3, C1, C00 background- B00, B000, B0000

Hey, all!  It's time for Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella!  The theme this week was Stitching and I have to admit, I am not much of a seamstress.  Nope, there's not a sartorial bone in my body.  Several years ago I purchased a small Janome sewing machine specifically for sewing on cards, but I haven't a clue how to use it.  My friends and my mom have shown me step by step on numerous occasions how it works, but I must have a mental block.

When forced to do a bit of sewing, I usually opt for a couple of hand stitches.  I like the rustic look and I can leave the sewing machine in the closet.  My darling victim today is Uptown Girl Faith the Fairy.  I had a bit of a coloring fiasco with her.  I was laying down the V99, which is a super deep dark purple, and out blobbed a big glop of ink right on her arm.  YIKES!  I thought Faith was headed to the trash bin.  I worked and worked on her with my Colorless Blender and finally fudged it enough to make it passable.  You can still see it.  Looks like a big bruise on her upper arm.  Maybe I can pass it off with a good backstory.  Perhaps she belongs to a weekend Fairy Fight Club.  We'll never know, however, because the first rule of Fairy Fight Club is you DON'T talk about Fairy Fight Club.  The second rule of Fairy Fight Club is YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT FAIRY FIGHT CLUB!  HA!

Find Faith the Fairy in the Stamping Bella Shop along with tons of other wonderful designs AND check out all of the wonderful DT creations on the Blogabella.  LOTS of great stuff!

Ok, I'm outie!  Until next time, stay crafty

The Blue Bird of Happiness!

Copic colors used:  wings and black details- C7, C5, C3, C1, chest- E44, E43, E42, E41 neck and head- E95, E93, E00 red accents- R59, R27, R24, R32 background- B02, B00, B000, B0000
Hey, all!  Back today with a card I'm sharing on the Art Impressions Blog.  This guy is from the Buzzard Set and makes me chuckle every time I see him.  It harkens back to that gag that Johnny Carson used to do on the Tonight Show many moons ago.

This makes a great masculine birthday card, but I know you have that one special friend, male or female, that this would send into fits of laughter.  Yep, me too :)

Anyway, find this handsome devil in the Ai Shop along with tons more images.  Also, be sure to hit the Art Impressions Blog daily for something new from the Design Team.

Thats it for now!  I'll catch you tomorrow with something new.  Until then, stay crafty!

It's Bellarific Friday!

Copic colors used:  skin- E00, E000, R20, E11 hair- E18, E09, E07, E02 bubbles- B04, B000, B000, 0 bubbly- YG17, YG01 pillow- R59, R29, R24, R32 tub- E44, E43, E42, E41, 0 tub feet- Y28, Y26, Y21, Y11

Hola, chiquita bananas!  Who has two thumbs and has Friday's off?  THIS GIRL!  LOL!  I have a laundry list of stuff to do today, but not a care in the world, so I am loving life :)  Much like our friend, Uptown Girl, Bubbles loves her Bubbly!  Bubbles is taking it easy this weekend by starting with a bit of pampering.  I think we should follow suit.

This week's Stamping Bella challenge was to use the sketch pictured above, which is similar to a "go to" layout that I already use quite frequently, as I'm sure you've already picked up on.  Sometimes I feel like I overuse this angled layout...actually I KNOW I overuse this layout, but this time I was sticking to the challenge, so I had no choice.  Right?

Visit the Stamping Bella Blog (Blogabella) to see what the theme is for the next challenge and why not play along?  Lots of fab eye candy from the Bella DT.  Also, while you're tooling around the Internets, visit the Stamping Bella Shop.  SOOOO much great stuff!

Ok, I've got to start marking things off my To Do list!  TOODLES!  And have a stellar Mother's Day!  Hope your family treats you like the Queen you are!

Until next time, stay crafty!

Hey, all!  Back today with a card I'm sharing on the Art Impressions Blog featuring the Air-Hag Set.  Number one, how great is the name of this set?!  And number two, hasn't it been forever since Halloween?!  I know!  So why not interject a little Halloween fun into a Springtime card :)

Air Hag is obviously taking a little Spring vacay and going somewhere warm.  Even her menacing spider friend has a lovely green pallor appropriate to the season.

Visit the Art Impressions Blog for daily inspiration from the Design Team and swing by the Ai Shop to see all the fabulous images they have to offer.
