A Little Art Impressions Girlfriend Fun!

Hey, all! I know I haven't posted in awhile. Other commitments have really gotten in the way of card making lately, but I received a wonderful invitation from Kate at Art Impressions and I just couldn't refuse :) 

It's Stamptember at Simon Says Stamp so that means there's LOTS of celebrating going on all month long! Art Impressions is releasing a Simon Says Stamp exclusive Girlfriends set and it's a doozy! These quirky gals are kicking up there heels in this festive set and I can't help but want to join them. The set is called Dance it Out and you can find HERE in the Simon Says Stamp store. The Girlfriends line always makes me happy and I think I've mentioned on other occasions that they remind of my own crazy group of gal pals. Hey, all!  I'm back today with a card I'm sharing on the Art Impressions Blog.  This one features a couple of besties having a nosh and sharing a big ol' chunk of chocolate cake!  YUMMM!

Wouldn't it be great if Weight Watcher points became part of our actual currency!  Of course, along with all the fabulous possibilities, we would have to be extra cautious, as well.  Imagine being mugged for your Weight Watcher points...LOL!  Sounds funny, but I think I might have to punch my would be attacker in the throat!

Hey all!  Welcome back!  At Art Impressions, we are hopping to celebrate the release of some brand new Girlfriend images...WOO HOO!  You know 'em, you love 'em, you can't live without 'em!

We all need our girlfriends.  We laugh together, cry together, rejoice together.  They are our rocks and they lift us up!  Sometimes they also need to help us lift our birthday cakes up...LOL!  I just turned 47 and let me tell you, I'm certainly glad I didn't opt for candles ;)  No need to start the fire detectors chirping!  This image is aptly called Giant Cake and now I'm craving something sweet.  Cake, anyone?  Pick up all of the new Girlfriend images in the Ai Shop.

Trip's Ahoy Challenge at Art Impressions!

Hey, everybody!  I'm back sharing a new challenge starting today on the Art Impressions Blog. The theme is Trips Ahoy and and we are asking you to share your travel or nautical themed creations. 

The Girlfriend line makes me giggle.  I just love them so much!  This foursome always looks like they are having the best time, so it would stand to reason that they would go on a girls "getaway".  I'm thinking a swanky weekend in New York City a la Sex and the City style.  You know, maybe pop into a trendy lounge with a one word name like "lib-a-shuns" for Cosmopolitans.  Then off to catch the hottest broadway show, "Sing Speak Act Dance" starring Harry Connick, Jr. and Queen Latifa.  Followed by a very posh late night dinner in a hard to get into restaurant, also a one word name, but an added edgy attitude, something like "grub" (all lowercase is really "in" right now).  BUT, these gals like to have fun, so the evening would not end there...perhaps more drinks at an equally trendy bar called "high octane" (oops, two words, but all lowercase, so it's still in).  And finally, dancing at a new place called "FROLIC" (lowercase is so 15 minutes ago).  Whoa!  I'm exhausted!  These ladies are wearing me out!  LOL!

Use Your Stash Challenge at Art Impressionsss

Hey, all!  Just poppin' in to remind you that there's still plenty of time to join the Use Your Stash challenge at Art Impressions!  Grab something that's been sitting on a shelf, neglected; combine it with one of our fabulous Ai images and work your magic.  

My stash item, you ask?  Well, it's really a tad embarrassing, but my item is my Ai stamped image.  Yep, this beautiful quartet of sunbathers has been hibernating in my craft room for almost a year.  What a crime!  Unfortunately, it's not the only one.  I must have hundreds of stamps that have never seen ink.  Do you have the same problem?  Apparently, I am Quick Draw McGraw with the credit card and am able to shop faster than I am able to craft a card.

This ridiculously wonderful image makes my day.  I imagine me and my best girlfriends doing this very thing when we hit middle age.  Shoot, I forgot...I'm already middle aged...LOL!  Anyway, this darling image is called Girlfriends (#U3573) and is available in the Art Impressions shop.  By the way, a wonderfully thoughtful friend of mine made me a birthday card last year using this very same image.  Totally makes me smile every time I see it :)
