Hello, Bloggers of Blogland!  Welcome back!  I have been MIA for a bit.  We had a lovely visit with family the week before last, which included a relaxing afternoon at the St. James Tea Room, a few delectable meals out, a few delicious meals in, a canning class, and a full day of non-stop action prepping, cooking, and serving at the Disc-It Round Up charity event.  Whew!  I bet our guests were happy to get home, so they could rest...LOL!  Thank you, Diane, Wanda, and Marilyn for traveling all this way to work your butts off.  You have know idea how much we appreciated it!

I pulled out my absolute FAVORITE KKS stamp for this challenge...Charlotte!  She's a sweet gal with a bit of larceny in her blood, so I loved the idea of giving her a Halloween-ish spin.  She reminds me of that oddball niece that you don't want to leave alone with the puppies or kittens, because in the blink of an eye she'll have them stuffed into doll clothes and pushing them around in a baby carriage much to their furry chagrin.  Oh sure, it's kind of cute, but it's kind of weird at the same time and not quite right.  Yeah, you feel me.

Hey, lovely people of Bloglandia!  How are things at your end of the keyboard?  Here in sunny Albuquerque NM we're feeling a bit soggy.  Lots of rain these days, particularly in the evenings when my sweet husband is trying to grill.  Lord knows, we need it, but when it interferes with dinner...well, I get a bit grumpy, to put it mildly.  Plus, this sounds crazy, but it is wreaking havoc on the landscaping.  Most of the yards in our neighborhood sport nice tidy rocked in landscapes, because after all, it is the desert and H2O is at a premium.  Best to conserve water whenever we can.  However, the rain has spawned a wicked population of weeds to pop up and create these intrusive micro mini jungles that weed killer doesn't seem to even remotely phase.  Must be some sort of mutant alien weed breed.  Long story short, Albuquerque is practically underwater.  WHICH is the perfect segue into this week's challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...Slippery When Wet!

A new challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: Things with Wings!

Hey, all!  It's Saturday and that means there's a brand spanking new challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!  I hear the hostess this week is lovely, talented, oh and quite humble...!  I wonder who it could be?  Oh yeah, it's me!  LOL! Just having a bit of fun :)  I really am the hostess this week and my challenge for YOU is called Things with Wings.  Create a project featuring an image, paper, or  embellishment sporting wings and you could be our randomly selected winner!  Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has LOTS of designs with wings...check them out in the KKS Shop.

For my card, I've used Naida.  She was part of the Sassy Sprites release and I just love her and all of her fabulous friends.  They are so much fun to color and low and behold, they all have wings!  LOL!

I was hankering for something with a Halloween flair, so I jumped into the Wayback machine and decided to use Batty Princess.  She's an oldie, but a goodie!  I've never actually colored her up before, so this was fun!  I paired her with some of the paper from the G45 Steampunk Spells collections and pulled the colors directly from there.
