Good Morning! Welcome back. I promised you a card featuring a Kenny K image and here she is. Meet Star. I wish I could say she was fun to color, but for some reason her hair gave me fits. I actually like the way it turned out, but it took about an hour to get it how I wanted it. At least, it felt like an hour and I wasn't even sure I wanted it this way, but I was starting to get Copic Muscle Cramps (CMC), so I started to like it quite a bit after my hands started to permanently curl into little balls! Nope, CMC is not a real thing, I just made it up, but it should be. I also tried to go a little darker on the skin tones, trying to achieve something of a Hispanic complexion. I was quite pleased with results until my sister said she didn't look Hispanic at all..."she just looks like she has a spray tan". Thanks, Patricia. So, here is my gift to you...if you are trying to achieve a "spray tan" complexion, just follow my Copic recipe at the bottom of this post...LOL! What the heck, I might as well go with it ;D
There is a new challenge going on at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog, so be sure and check it out. There are fabulous prizes to be had! If you want to take a look at Star and the other images available, head over to the Kenny K Download site. You'll be glad you did!
That's it for today. Come back tomorrow for the La-La Land Weekly Wednesday Challenge! I'm the challenge hostess this week and I have something special in store for you ;D

ReplyDeleteThis card is my absolute favorite of your Kenny K designs so far. Love the image! Love the coloring! Love the design!
I don't know if you were planning to get this haircolor or not but I love it. The blue in the hair is perfect and I don't think she is a spray on brown at all, I'd sign for a complexion like that :).

ReplyDeleteI commented already on splitcoast, but this is awesome!! I think your hair turned out too cool, I love the blue tone in it. I always have trouble with black hair myself. It makes me crazy!! You did a nice job though.

I think the hair worked out just great and I love her Hispanic skin tone. I'm still using my Stampin Up markers so haven't progressed to Copics yet. But I admire what great things you do with them
