This set is by Bombshell Stamps and it is my absolute favorite Bombshell Stamps set OF. ALL. TIME! It is called 'Til Death. The image is fabulous and that sentiment...need I say more?! This set just screams crazy cool! Okay, must calm down. That's better.
I colored the image with my Copics, then added glitter glue to various parts of the banner. Next, I coated the heart and the diamond with a generous amount of dimensional lacquer. I distressed the oval die cut that everything is sitting on, by leaving the die cut in the die, and sponging Antique Linen and Vintage Photo around the edge until it looked nice and old. I finished off the die cut with a little bit of glitter glue around the edge. I added all of this to some lovely Basic Grey papers I picked up yesterday. I believe they are part of the Curio line. Lots of foam tape helps create even more depth (and heft...lol). I hope the happy couple likes it ;D
Before I go, one more thing...in a much earlier blog post (months ago), I confessed that I had to buy a pair of readers for up close tasks. Well, today I had an appointment with the eye doctor and guess what she talked me into...that's right...BIFOCALS! So, I guess it's official, I'm old! My youth has forsaken me and instead left in it's place a pudgy, middle aged, caricature of the person I used to be. Today's escapade was truly a "wake up and smell the Geritol" type of moment. Oh well, what's a girl to do, but embrace middle age right around it's expanding belly.
Until next time, stay crafty ;D
Such an amazing card, Cheryl! The image is scary cool and your coloring is always out of this world! I love the sponging around them, and all your little details make this one extraordinary card! Have a great weekend!

OMG this is amazing, fantastic image and colouring !!! I hadn't read the sentiment at first but then when I read it .. I just had to WOW. Have to be someone so creative to come up with this stamp!!! It's amazing, no wonder it's your fave. Love it xxx

LOVE IT! And your still cool even with the bifocals. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're not old! It's just all that coloring and stuff that makes you have to concentrate harder, so your eyes have to work harder and want a little help is all!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card!! Wasn't this set retired for a while? Seems I wanted it last summer when my tattoo artist got married and ended up not making him a card at all. Sheesh! I make them all day long, you'd think I could make one for my TA. But then, I just kept thinking about how well he colors on my skin and didn't want him to be critiquing my work! lol
fab card great image. Embrace the glasses, I have been wearing them since I was 19 and have been pretending to be the sexy office sectuary ever since!EE
ReplyDeleteit's a different wedding card but I like it.

ReplyDeleteHugs, Mom :))
Cheryl, You've done it again!!! You are NOT old, it's just your eyes needing a little help. Hey can we do this card at CH2? Your cards are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I need this stamp ASAP! lol
ReplyDeleteHey, Denise! How are you, girl! I think this set has been discontinued by Bombshell Stamps, which is a shame because it is my fave. Not sure if Nancy would go for that since she may not be able to order the sets. It's still available on the Discounted Stamps page, but in limited quantities. Hmmm, but a non-traditional wedding card class might be fun! I'll give it some thought ;D
ReplyDeleteHugz,
Cheryl
This is a great card, would be a hit at my bf tattoo parlour. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the vivid colors!
