Challenge #122 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: Heavy Metal!
Hello! Welcome to the weekend. What's on your agenda? Lots of relaxing, I hope. I'm attending a workshop today with the ridiculously talented Arley Berryhill to make a Witch's Apothecary Shadow Box. You can see the details on the China Phoenix 2 blog. It is way more awesome in person, so you can only imagine how stoked I am to be in this class. Later, I'm hoping Kirk and I can squeeze in a movie. Nothing serious or sappy. I have one goal in mind...to laugh my tuches off, so I'm thinking 21 Jump Street should do the trick. Don't get me wrong, I love the quiet art house films that make you think, the beautiful sweeping epics that make you cry, and the gorgeous cinematic period pieces that make you yearn for a simpler time. But...sometimes, only rude, crude, and lewd will do and that's what I'm in the mood for. So 21 Jump Street it is! AND...I hear that Johnny Depp has a cameo. Nice!
Anywhoo, I digress. Let's talk about the latest and greatest challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This week's challenge is brought to you by the very lovely and talented Sharon and she's asking us to add Heavy Metal to our creations. This can be real metal, faux metal, or just an image. Pretty cool! That leaves us lots of options. I chose to add a strip of leather with metal grommet details to my card, plus a scattering of Tim Holtz embellishments. The image I'm using is from the sensational Going Places set that was just released. Word on the street is that these images are selling quickly, so if you are interested in getting this set, don't delay. The only place you can find it is in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps shop.
While you're at the shop, take a gander at the 6 designs selected for this week's Frugal Friday Specials. It's a great way to add some of your favorite images to KKS collection at a steal of a deal. This sale only lasts through Sunday, so don't delay!
Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge blog to see the super cool ways the DT members interpreted this challenge. The designs are exquisite and inspiring. AND...don't forget to join the challenge this week! We can't wait to see what you create!
Okay, krafty peeps! Catch ya later!
