A New Challenge at Tiddly Inks: Fabric!

Hey, all!  I'm back today with a new challenge at Tiddly Inks!  I know, I say this everytime, but this one REALLY is a good one!  The challenge this go round is to use fabric on your card.  It can be in the form of fabric scraps, ribbons, flowers, etc.  I was getting ready to toss an old pair of jeans in the garbage bin, but decided to hold on to them for Strategic Card Making Purposes...lol!

I trimmed myself off a good long strip and fringed one side to create a border for my card.  I thought the blue jean accent went perfectly with Whatever.  She has such a haughty attitude, doncha think?  The strip of lace is a nice contrast to the denim and sort of lends itself to the naughty and nice theme that Whatever seems to portray.  You can find Whatever and tons of other fabulous images in the Tiddly Inks Shop.

Challenge #117 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: Sketch

Hey, all!  Welcome back!  You've arrived just in time for the start of the new challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  This week, we're asking you to create a little something using the sketch pictured above.  I know I've said it before, but I can't help saying it again...I LOVE a sketch challenge!!!  Sketches take eons off my card making turnaround time.  With a sketch, I can easily finish a card in 2 hours as opposed to my usual 4 hours.  Now that IS something to celebrate ;D

For my card, I dug a bit into the archives and pulled up this older image called Agnes.  Agnes is super cute and makes me really hanker for a hunk of cake...lol!  Find Agnes and plenty of her friends in the shop.

Pam is our hostess for this week and she has used Coffee Crusader on her fabulous card.  If you enter the challenge and are randomly selected as this week's winner, you too will be able to add Coffee Crusader to your KKS collection.

A Sweet Tweet

Hey, there!  Back today with a card featuring a sweetheart of an image by Christy Croll at Tiddly Inks.  This is Wryn and Wren - Too Tweet and I just love her!  I've used her before, but definitely couldn't pass up making another card with her.  Find Wren and all of her friends in the shop at Tiddly Inks.

Also, see that yummy ruffled gray ribbon on the side?  That was a little gift from my buddy Carlene at Pinkscrapper's Boutique.  Check out Carlene's boutique and you will be amazed at her selection and very reasonable prices.

Okay, I need to keep this quick, 'cuz it's getting late and I'm becoming less and less of a night owl these days.  I'm actually getting between 6 and 7 hours of sleep each night which I understand is pretty normal.  I was getting anywhere from 3 to 5 hours, which was actually okay, but an additional 2 or 3 hours feels soooo luxurious in the mornings ;D  I am totally digging it...lol!  Go figure.

Kraftin' Kimmie's February Release

WOO HOO!  Today is Sunday...finally!  That means all of the fabulous images we've shown you this week during February's Krafty Peeks are officially available in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!  What better way to celebrate than with a Krafty Hop!!!

February's KraftY Peeks: Day Four!

Hey, there!  It's Saturday, Day Four of February's Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps, and time to reveal Annie Rodrigue's latest and greatest designs.  I think they're "SUPER"!  That's right!  Annie has come up with a line of Superheroes and you are going to simply flip when you see them!

February Krafty Peeks: Day Three!

Hey, everybody!  Welcome to Day Three of Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!  I know what you're thinking.  You're thinking, Cheryl can't count, because yesterday I said it was Day One of the Krafty Peeks.  As it turns out, I experienced a momentary lapse of sanity, because Day One actually took place the day before when the In Stitches set was introduced.  Of course, yesterday we showed you the sweet new Lulu's.  And the fun keeps on going, because today we have brand new designs from Emilie Goulet.

This month Emilie has created two new sets with whimsical bird themes, Tweets and Twitters 1 and 2.  My fun owl image is part of set 1.  Isn't he a hoot!  I absolutely adore Emilie's creations and this one is no exception.  You'll find Emilie's new images available in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop along with the other new designs starting on Sunday.

February Krafty Peeks: Day One!

Hola, Krafty Peeps!  Welcome to Day One of February's Krafty Peeks!  Today we're sharing the new set of Lulu's created by Cheryl Alger.  This month's set is called Lulu and Friends and you'll find Lulu stirring up some fun in the kitchen, singing in the rain, and snuggling up with Teddy.  I think there is a little bit of Lulu in all of us ;D  You'll be able to find this set along with all of the newly released February images in the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop beginning Sunday.

Challenge #115 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: Pearls and Pins

Hey, there!  It's Saturday and time for another fabulous challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!  This week our Hostess Extraordinaire is Sandie and she is asking us to feature Pearls and Pins somewhere on our cards.  I must confess, the only pins I had on hand were the corsage type pins you find in the wedding section of the local craft store.  They're not very exciting, so I tucked them in behind my ribbon where they are hardly noticeable.  I know, what a cheater, I am...lol!  It makes me want to buy a bunch of those long hat pins and fancy beads to make my own snazzy pins.  Hmmm, better add those items to my "must have" list ;D 

For my card, I colored up Judy.  Isn't she fun?!  She's very sweet, but looks like she might have a bit of a mischievous side to her.  I just love all of the images created by Annie Rodrigue.  Don't you?  Each character has so much personality.  If you're a big fan of Annie's, tune in next Wednesday (Feb 15th) at 6pm EST and watch the creation of a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp from start to finish.  You'll see Annie in her creative glory start with an idea and develop it into an inked image.  Pretty exciting stuff!  Here'a  link...it won't be live until 6pm EST next Wednesday.  In the meantime, you can sign up to attend the event on Facebook here.

A New Challenge at The Octopode: Valentine's Day

Hola!  It's finally Friday.  I thought it would never come!  Actually, part of me thinks it arrived too soon, as I didn't even complete a fraction of what I needed to get done this week...and part of me thinks it took its sweet time showing up, as I am hankering to spend some R&R with my family and friends. 

One of the things I DID manage to do this week was create a Valentine's Day card for The Octopode Challenge Blog.  When Lily first introduced this Day of the Dead Bride and Groom, I absolutely knew that I would be using them on a card.  They.  Are.  Fabulous!  You can find them in The Octopode's Etsy Shop along with tons of other wonderful images.

A couple of new Wryns at Tiddly Inks!

Hey, there!  I hope this post finds everyone doing fine.  I'm just popping in for a wee bit to share a card using one of Tiddly Ink's newest Wryn images...Howdy Cowgirl.  Oh my goodness!  She is just full of cuteness and as soon as I saw her, I had to color her.  I added some grass and flowers at her feet, because I'm sure she is planning on taking that pony on a gallop through a field of wildflowers somewhere.

Challenge #114 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: It's Kimmies Birthday!

Welcome to Saturday!  Not only is it my FAVORITE day of the week, but this weekend there is cause for celebration all weekend long!  The one and only, Kimmie from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps had a birthday just yesterday and she is in such a generous mood, she has an incredible sale going on RIGHT NOW in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!  YES!  Kimmie has put over 100 images on sale reducing their price by 41% or $4.10 (she just turned 41...lol)!  BUT you'll need to HURRY because the sale ends Sunday night!

For my card, I chose to color up Samantha.  She is sassy and confident and she really looks great in the color green...haha!  I have my Copic colors listed at the end of this post, if you're interested.  She is super fun to color and that flippy dippy hair just really steals the show.  Wish I had all that hair...lol!

Strange Skin Blog Hop Today!
